As you may remember, The After School Club program at JJIS was put on hold during the pandemic. We are looking forward to offering after school clubs when we are able to secure group leaders.
Our Lego Robotics program is currently underway. Please continue to review the Digital Backpack for Math Olympiad qualifying assessments.
Invention Convention:
Any student may participate in our annual JJIS Invention Convention! Students design an original invention to solve a real problem. They research and develop their solution into a working prototype. Then, they present this to our volunteer judges and some go on to compete at the Connecticut Invention Convention!
Students and families can learn about this opportunity through an information session organized by our Invention Convention facilitator. Students who are interested in participating return the "Intent to Invent" and receive a detailed information packet so they can begin their inventive work at home. Inventor's workshops are provided through school to help Inventors learn the critical thinking and creative imagination processes they need to succeed with this exciting and challenging, real-world problem solving.
