2026-2027 Student Information Forms

We have confirmed that forms are now visible in the Parent Portal:

Grade 2,5 and 8 families are the ONLY ones who will see the Annual School Change Residency Verification. That is the ONLY residency that needs to be completed by those grades. ALL other families should complete the Annual Residency Affirmation statement.

ALL families should complete the Student Information, Health Information, and Transportation Request forms IN ADDITION to the residency requirement.

Please contact the Office Professionals at your student's school with any questions.

Forms will close on June 1.

What's Happening At JJIS:

Spring Music Concerts

Our students showcased their musical talents during two outstanding spring performances that highlighted the dedication and growth of our young musicians. On Wednesday, students in grades four and five presented the Spring Instrumental Concert. During the school-day performance, the entire student body had the opportunity to enjoy the concert, and families returned that evening for a special performance. Fourth and fifth grade band students demonstrated the skills they have developed throughout the year, performing with confidence and enthusiasm. The audience was also treated to an energetic performance by our Jazz Band, whose students impressed everyone with their musicianship and stage presence.
On Thursday, students in grades three, four, and five took center stage for the Spring Choral Concert, again performing once during the school day for their peers and once in the evening for families. The chorus filled the auditorium with beautiful harmonies and heartfelt performances that reflected months of practice and commitment.
These concerts were a wonderful celebration of the arts at Jack Jackter Intermediate School and demonstrated the important role music plays in our students’ education. We are incredibly grateful to our music educators for their dedication and to our families for their continued support of our performing arts programs.

Florence Griswold Museum

Our third grade classes recently enjoyed a wonderful field trip to the Florence Griswold Museum in East Lyme. Students explored the museum’s beautiful artwork and learned about the history and inspiration behind many of the pieces on display. The trip concluded with a hands-on art activity where students painted their own landscape scenes inspired by the museum’s surroundings. It was a fun and creative experience that allowed students to connect art, history, and nature together!

Island Vibes Positive Mental Health Spirit Day

This Friday, Jack Jackter partnered with the Colchester Youth Services for an “Island Vibes” Spirit Day to celebrate positive mental health. During recess, the Youth Services team set up fun games, activities, and plenty of island-themed spirit for students to enjoy. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with friends, stay active, and promote positivity throughout our school community.
