Dear Students and Families,

As we head into the winter break, we want to wish you a restful, joyful, and safe holiday season. The forecast ultimately broke our way this morning, and despite a few slick spots, we were able to finish strong — though it appears we may have missed our best chance for the snow-covered holiday scene so often featured in the Hallmark movies.

Whether your break includes travel, traditions, quiet time at home, or simply a chance to slow the pace, we hope the days ahead offer space to recharge and enjoy time with family and friends. As we look ahead to the new year, we do so with gratitude for our community and optimism for what lies ahead in 2026.

In support of balance and well-being for our staff, Colchester Public Schools will observe an email holiday beginning 3:00 PM on December 23, 2025, through 7:00 AM on January 5, 2026. During this time, staff are encouraged to unplug, spend time with their families, and recharge for the second half of the school year. Any messages received during this period will be responded to no later than Noon on January 6, 2026.

Thank you for your continued partnership throughout the year. We wish you a relaxing winter break and look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year.
