Honoring our Veterans

We are looking for student artwork and projects to show our veterans how grateful we are for their service!
Students are encouraged to create something special. It could be a picture, poem, letter to a favorite veteran, or any other creative project that expresses appreciation. The possibilities are endless!
Please submit all projects to the office.
Let’s come together to show our veterans how much their service means to us!

What's Happening at JJIS

Hotspots:

Grade 3 - Zentangle
Zentangle is an art form that uses structured patterns and lines to create beautiful, abstract designs. It’s a relaxing and creative practice that encourages focus, mindfulness, and self-expression.
Our students have been using their artistic smarts to explore Zentangle as a way to calm their minds, express their creativity, and find joy in the process rather than just the final product. Each design is a reflection of individuality — a peaceful moment captured through art and imagination.

Grade 4 - Canva Crew:
Our Grade 4 students have been putting their design skills to work by offering their services to create Canva designs for teachers and organizations around the school.
The Canva Crew Hotspot is buzzing with creativity as students design flyers, posters, newsletters, and more! They’re exploring the world of digital design, learning new skills, and creating visual masterpieces along the way.
It’s inspiring to see their enthusiasm and teamwork shine through every project they create! Please enjoy this grade 4 newsletter created by the Canva Crew.

News From the PTO

Bookfair and Jackter Lantern

The PTO-sponsored Book Fair and Jackter Lantern events were a huge success this week! Smiling students shopped for books every day, finding new favorites to take home and enjoy.
On Wednesday night, the PTO transformed the halls of Jackter into a spooky celebration for families. There was trick-or-treating, a dance party, and plenty of festive fun for everyone to enjoy!
Many classrooms joined in the excitement by participating in the door decorating contest. Winning classes for Spookiest, Funniest, and Best All Around each earned a free book for every student — plus popsicles to celebrate their creativity!
A huge thank-you to the PTO and everyone who helped make this week so special!
