Student Life

The After School Club program at JJIS has been put on hold for the 2020-2021 school year.  Our group leaders are working to offer our typical enrichment programs virtually for students. Math Olympiad and Lego Robotics are currently underway.

Invention Convention:

Any student may participate in our annual JJIS Invention Convention! Students design an original invention to solve a real problem. They research and develop their solution into a working prototype. Then, they present this to our volunteer judges and some go on to compete at the Connecticut Invention Convention!

Students and families can learn about this opportunity through an information session organized by our Invention Convention facilitator. Students who are interested in participating return the "Intent to Invent" and receive a detailed information packet so they can begin their inventive work at home. Inventor's workshops are provided through school to help Inventors learn the critical thinking and creative imagination processes they need to succeed with this exciting and challenging, real-world problem solving.
